When the dark clouds started rolling in over Langley, I think we were all crossing our fingers tightly.
Luckily for us, in Vancouver it was still mild and (almost!) sunny!
I had a blast photographing Mercedes and Devon’s engagement session – these two are so warm and friendly – and it was just non stop laughter! Can’t wait till the wedding!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Anna Elizabeth Cakes at several weddings, and my brides just LOVE her! Creative, precise, and yet down-to earth, Anna sculpts beautiful creations that are more edible art than standard wedding fare!
1) You are a pastry chef and artist – what services do you provide, exactly?
Anna Elizabeth Cakes is a custom cake boutique, specializing in wedding, and special occasion cakes. Having a background in art, as well as having trained as a pastry chef, Anna knows what it takes to create gorgeous works of edible art that taste as good, if not better than they look.
While we make a lot of beautiful cakes filled with our handcrafted sugar flowers, bows and ribbons, we also aren’t afraid to step out of the box and try something different. A wedding cake is a great chance to reflect a couples’ personalities and should be unique to them! I think our originality and creativity are what has led to our incredible growth as a relatively new business on the Vancouver scene and has garnered praise and features in both national and international publications. We also just won the BC Wedding Award for wedding cake of the year which we are thrilled about!
3) What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to work with so many amazing couples and talented wedding professionals in Vancouver- I am never at a loss for inspiration!
